Arthur “Art” D. Gazzo, Jr. passed away on August 19, 2026.  Born February 8, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY.   He was the son of the late Arthur D. and Phylis (Dai) Gazzo, Sr. 

Art, beloved husband of 56 years, is survived by his wife Kristine (Allen) Gazzo, children Niki (Nate) Levy, Katherine (Ronald) Cummings, and Michael (Christina) Gazzo; grandchildren Vivian, Lyria, Nora, and Joseph; brother William (Grace) Gazzo.

Art was a high school history teacher for many years at Williamsville Central Schools. He later taught history at Buffalo State College.

Art enjoyed reading, camping with the family, fishing, farming, wood working, fixing up his old house, and was the chef of the family.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Wednesday, August 26th from 4-6 PM with funeral services following at 6 PM, at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  In lieu of flowers, planting a tree would be much appreciated by the family.  Visit https://pruddenandkandt.com.
