Charles T. Buchheit passed away August 17, 2026 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  Born February 3, 1947 in Amherst NY he was the son of the late Paul and Betty (Bye) Buchheit.  Charles served in the US Navy from 1967-1970 and owned Struebing and Buchheit where he was president for over 35 years.  He also enjoyed golfing and being at home.

Charles is survived by his wife of 30 years Karen (Hopkins) Buchheit; daughters Stephanie (Randy) Bremer and Michelle Watier; Six grandchildren; sister Karen Buchheit; nephew Jeffrey Budzinski and also several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his siblings Peter Buchheit, Kathy (Joe) Mead, and Mary (Paul) Eichinger.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, August 27th from 3-6 PM with services at 6 PM all at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, would be appreciated by his family.
