Dear JC, Words cannot express how grateful I am to have had you in my life, but I'll try. Thank you for being such a wonderful big brother. Thank you for teaching me how to ski and how to fish (I still owe you a fishing lure). Thank you for teaching me how to be respectful while commanding respect, how to be honest without being too honest, and how to give compliments without gushing. Thank you for all the fun times on the boat, and for not laughing when I fell into the water at the dock. Thank you for teaching me how to iron. I never knew anyone who could press such sharp creases into their shirts—or use a little too much starch in their shorts. Rest in peace, Big Brother. Love, Little David

To Uncle Jack: Safe sails! Thank you for being a part of my life and for the wonderful memories we've shared over the years. An afternoon on the boat, a chat over a glass of wine, or sharing anything chocolate - I always enjoyed our time together. I will especially miss your dry sense of humor. No one could deliver a witty remark with a perfectly straight face quite like you! To Aunt Janet and Cousin Brian: We are terribly sorry for your loss. Know that we are lifting you up in prayer during this difficult time. Tonight Mike and I will open the good bottle of wine, and we’ll raise a toast to Uncle Jack - glass of red in one hand and a Hostess Ding Dong in the other - to a life well lived, a course well charted. Until we meet again, Uncle Jack - cheers!

We had some great times and made so many wonderful memories Jack. Those were some of the happiest times of my life. I hope there is a "Field of Dreams" and that you and Ron are knocking them out of the park with a cold one! With condolences and my deepest sympathies for a life ended way too soon, Carol

Rest in peace Uncle Jack. You will be so missed. Thank you for so many fun summers on your boat when I was a kid..You had always the best sense of humor and classic dry witty retorts that made everyone laugh! I admire how you were always so incredibly calm and confident and smart and had such a nice quiet strength about you. Thank you for serving our country and all the sacrifices you made for for the US. R.I.P Uncle Jack. You will be sorely missed. Thank you for all the great times on vacations to AZ, Sequoia's and Lake Tahoe! Oh and Bills games, yes even the one that Brady and Moss beat the Bills on Sunday Night Football. You and Uncle Dude wanted to leave when the score was 56 to 10 and we were freezing our butts off sitting on towels and surrounded by Pats fans. I didnt want to leave because it wasn't over! Haha! I will miss your dry yet super smart sense of humor! I love you and already miss you Uncle Jack and last BUT not least, a major THANK YOU for your service in defending our Freedom! Bills and Sabres are knocking on the door to excellence! (I heard you just grumble in my head!) Special love and support to Brian, Aunt Janet, Uncle Dude and my Mom, Mary Jane. My Uncle Jack gave me some good weekends when I needed them most, out on his boat fishing, or just cutting the grass together. Nothing fancy, just time. I'm grateful for that time, and for him. Thank you for those weekends, Uncle Jack.

I don't know Mr. Farrar, but I just wanted to say that I'm so very sorry for your loss. Reading that list of medals he received during his service to our country made me so proud for all of you. He must have had a ton of stories to share. He was a true hero and I'm sure his wings were waiting at the gate. I will pray for your peace. Again, my deepest sympathy to you all.
