John Farrar Obituary
John C. “Jack” Farrar passed away on July 27th, 2026. Born January 17th , 1949 in Buffalo he was the son of the late Jack Farrar and Ethel (Vogt) Farrar. He was drafted into the US Army in 1968 and fought in the Vietnam War in the Americal Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Army Commendation Medal. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and watching Vietnam war films.
Jack is survived by his former wife and best friend Janet Farrar; his son Brian (Jena) Farrar; siblings Mary Jane (Ronald) Borucki, Thomas Farrar, David (Jennifer) Farrar, and the late Ronald Farrar. Also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Western New York National Cemetery. Please honor his memory the way he would have wanted, by consuming a family size box of Hostess Ding Dongs.
