Mary Lou Clay Obituary

Mary Lou (Trombley) Clay passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026 at home under hospice care after a long courageous battle with cancer.  Born on December 21, 1949 in Lockport, NY she was the daughter of the late James W. Trombley and Barbara (Adams) Trombley.  Mary Lou dedicated many years of service to Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors before her retirement.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, visiting casinos, and traveling.  Above all Mary Lou treasured time spent with her family.  Family gatherings brought her the greatest happiness, she loved making memories with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the pride and joy of her life.


Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved husband Philip Clay, son Joseph Wilson, step brother Glen Hill, and step sister Jane Hill.


She is survived by her son Jamie (Kim) Wilson; step daughter Janice Weaver and step son Jeffrey Clay; brother James (Rose) Trombley and step sister Mary Lou Haag; niece Linda Dimsey who was like a sister to her, and her life long best friends Linda Stolzenberg.  Also her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Mary Lou will be remembered for her strength, her warm heart, and the deep love she had for her family and friends.  Her kindness, resilience, and the memories she created with those she loved will remain in their hearts forever.


Relatives and friends may call Thursday, July 16th from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Graveside service will be held Friday, July 17th at 11 AM at Hartland Central Cemetery, 8541 Ridge Road, Gasport.
