Gerald “Jerry” Hugh Rosenberg passed away suddenly June 25th, 2026. He was born in Lockport on May 21st, 1947 to the late Gerald H. and Verna (McTigue) Rosenberg. Jerry served in the US Navy from 1967 to 1972 he was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal and National Defense Service medal after completing service aboard the USS Maddox and the USS Brumby.  He worked as a boiler operator at AES Corporation in Somerset New York.  Jerry loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and working in the garden.

Jerry is survived by his wife Elaine (Doucette) Rosenberg; son Marc (Naomi) Rosenberg; daughters Michelle (Robert) Updegrove, Denise (Michael) Betsch, and Danielle (Brendan) Bastian; grandsons Nicholas Updegrove, Justin Updegrove, Eric Betsch, Steven Betsch, Joshua Updegrove and Padraig (Paddy) Bastian; brother John M. (Linda) Rosenberg; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, July 2nd from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Friday, July 3rd at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
