Jane G. Oakes passed away June 18, 2026 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  Born December 22, 1946 in Lockport she was the daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Craggs) Putnam.  Jane worked for the University of Buffalo where she was in the maintenance department.  She enjoyed going on picnics and working on crafts.

Jane is survived by her two sons Gary Oakes, Jr and Patrick (Nicole) Oakes; grandchildren Starlena Breisch, Madison Bouley, Claudia Oakes, and Michael Oakes; sister Karen (Ralph) Berry Jr.  Besides her parents Jane was also predeceased by her husband Gary Oakes, Sr and daughter Michelle Breisch.

Relatives and friends are invited to the funeral service Wednesday, June 24th at 10 AM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY.  Interment will follow in Corwin Cemetery.
