Local physician passed away over Labor Day weekend surrounded by friends and family in Lockport, NY. Dr. Oliver was born in Buffalo, New York, attended Kenmore High School, Hamilton College, Syracuse University and received his M.D. degree from University of Buffalo School of Medicine. He became certified by the American Academy of Family Practice. He faithfully served the Niagara County community since 1954. At the time of his death he was on the Board of Directors of a nationwide quality assurance company for health care. During and after World War II, Dr. Oliver served in the Army Air Corps and the U.S. Army. Throughout his lifetime, Dr. Oliver was an avid reader, earned two black belts in the martial and enjoyed tennis and golf.
His family knew him as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Sharon, four sons and several grandchildren.
There will be no visitation times. A private memorial service will be held in the future at the discretion of his family.
