Carole Evelyn Kennedy passed away peacefully with family by her side at 6:22 pm on Tuesday June 16, 2026.

Born May 27, 1943, in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Velma (White) Kennedy.

Carole graduated from Lockport Senior High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. She spent much of her career working as a secretary for Local 43 of the International Brotherhood of Painters & Allied Trades Union in Buffalo, and later for the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Lockport where she was an active and devoted member.

Carole is survived by her first cousins Donna White Day, Janet Wrzos, and Marilyn White Talbot, as well as several second cousins.

Carole will be remembered for her deep religious beliefs, gentle spirit, quiet strength, and deep love she shared with her family, godchildren, and friends (including her four-legged ones!). A devoted animal lover her whole life, she found immense joy and companionship in her beloved pets Lambie, Shana, Teddy, Joy, and Molly. Her kindness and warmth will be missed by all who knew her, but she often said not to cry for her as she is reunited in heaven with her beloved mother who passed away when Carole was twelve years old and her animals.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Niagara SPCA at 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304 or the Emmanuel United Methodist Church at 75 East Avenue, Lockport, NY 14094.

A funeral service will be held at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport at 10:00 am on Monday June 22nd. Following the service, a private burial will take place at North Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at Emmanuel United Methodist Church at 12 pm to celebrate Carole’s life.
