Thomas Ryan IV Obituary

Thomas Ryan IV Obituary

Thomas (TR) Ryan IV, 87, of Lockport, NY, entered into rest on June 13th. Born on February 13, 1939, in Olcott, NY, he was the son of the late Jane (Cunningham) and Thomas Ryan III.  A graduate of Newfane Central School District, Thomas dedicated many years of his life to his career and his country. He served honorably in the United States Army as a SP4(T) E4 from 1958 until 1960. Following his military service, he worked for Simonds Saw and Steel and was a loyal employee of 40 years to Ridge Road Express.

Thomas was a devoted parishioner of Saint John's Catholic Church. As a long-time member of the Shelridge Golf Club, he was an enthusiastic golfer who could frequently be found out on the course. He also had a deep love for the water and spent many summer evenings at the Olcott Yacht Club watching sailboats race and the beautiful sunsets; whether on the greens or the water, he found immense happiness. He always made sure to cheer and support both the Buffalo Bills and the Buffalo Sabres. Thomas truly valued the time he spent in the company of his many family members and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine (Domaracki) Ryan; his daughter, Jennifer (late John Jr.) Ahlstrom and son Jonathan Keller; and his step-children, Michelle Domaracki, Rachel (Kevin Schrader) Domaracki, Jon (Robin) Buchheit, Carla (Jon) Kagels and Marc Buchheit; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Thomas is predeceased by his wives Sue Ann (Hufnagel) Ryan and Carol (Valery) Ryan.
