Martin J. “Marty” Zimmer Jr passed away June 9, 2026 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born November 24, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of the late Martin J. and Mary Margaret (Finn) Zimmer Sr.  Marty graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1968. He worked in the automotive field with his Dad and at Hall’s Toyota as a master mechanic for years before joining Snap On where he was a technical representative.  He also worked for the North Town Automotive Group where he was a service technician.  Marty was an avid Yankees and Beatles fan! He enjoyed bowling, golf, and busting everybody’s chops, loved making people laugh, was always the jokester.  Marty was a wonderful father to his children.

Marty is survived by his wife of 24 years Marcia (Bieler) Zimmer; sister Marsha Zimmer; devoted and loving father of Mark (Carly) Zimmer; step-children Randy (Deborah) Ott, Michael Hochdanner, Lisa (Greg) Illenz, and Jennifer (Peter Wilson) Brew; grandchildren Emileigh and Zander Ott, Isabelle Bradley, Nicholas, and Samantha Illenz, Jacob Brew, and Cassandra Fleischer.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law Maureen (Roger) Buzyniski.
