Sandra L. “Sandy” Machelski passed away May 26, 2026 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born June 25, 1950 in Lockport she was a daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Newman) Kirkman.  Sandy was a Registered Nurse and worked for Lockport Memorial Hospital.  She enjoyed crafting, making cards, shopping, and especially loved being with her family and friends.

Sandy is survived by her husband John Machelski; daughter Amy (John) Bidleman; granddaughters Makayla Machelski and Isabelle Bidleman; brothers Kenneth (Debra) Kirkman and Robert Kirkman; sister-in-law Josie (Roger) Schneider; special friend Karen Steinel and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her son Noel Machelski.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Tuesday, June 2nd from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3rd at 11 AM at Amherst Alliance Church, 3915 Millersport Hwy., Amherst.  Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com
