William H. “Bill” Winters passed away December 14, 2025 in Port Charlotte, FL. Born August 24, 1940 in Ogdensburg, NY and was the son of Charles T. and Elizabeth (Gilbert) Winters. William was employed with the Niagara Power Project from 1959-1961 and then went on to Simonds Saw & Steel from 1961 – 1986. He also worked for MacFarland Plumbing from 1986 – 1987 and then became the Niagara County Courier from 1987-2007 when he retired. Bill was an active member of several Masonic lodges. His proudest accomplishments were that he swam across the St. Lawrence River in 1954 and again in 1957. But one of his deepest regrets that he never served in the armed forces. Bill loved people and viewed life with a sense of humor.
