Melody L. Zuercher passed away suddenly May 11, 2026.  Born January 19, 1955 in North Tonawanda she was the daughter of Jean (Bayer) Hillman Haylett and the late Elwood Hillman.  Melody worked for Verizon in Buffalo where she was an installer.  She enjoyed working on needlepoint, playing Farmville, gardening, and spending time with her family. 

Melody is survived by her husband Thomas Zuercher; daughter Ashley Zuercher; step-children Amanda Hudson, Luke Zuercher (Katie), Marlena Zuercher (Dan Vaccaro); grandchildren Cali-Rae Haseley and Xavier Zuercher; step-grandchildren Derek Waller, Jocelyn Zuercher, David Zuercher, Janna Zuercher, Deron Hudson, Luke Zuercher Jr, Aaron Zuercher, Emelia Zuercher, Luke Vaccaro, and Owen Vaccaro; siblings Debbie (Howard) Gandt and late Duane Hillman; step-brothers David Haylett (Mary) and Steve Haylett (Candy); nephews Eric Gandt and Alan Gandt; also three great nephews and furry companions Sherlock, Kingsley, and Bailey.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Tuesday, May 19th from 4-6 PM with services following at 6 PM all in Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  In lieu of flowers donations to the United Church of Christ, 80 Main St., Suite H, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated.
