Barbara June Weir passed away May 7, 2026 in Hollywood, FL.  She was born June 12, 1938 in New Albion, NY, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Grace O. (Locke) Weir.  Barbara worked her entire career in administration at Lockport Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2001.  She enjoyed reading, horse racing, and especially visiting with her family.

Barbara is survived by her two nephews Daniel (Dorothy) Gallagher and David (Tonyetta) Gallagher; several grand and great grand nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.  Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her brother Douglas Weir, sister Sandra Gallagher, brother-in-law Michael F. Gallagher Sr, and two nephews Michael F. Gallagher Jr and Terrence Gallagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Monday, May 18th 11 AM – 1 PM with services following at 1 PM all in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, PO Box 515, Northampton, MA 01061-0515 or at www.macular.org would be appreciated by the family.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com
