Walter was kind to me from the first time we met. He and Peggy continued to show me kindness and generosity all through the years. He was resolute in his commitment to God.He raised 4 wonderful kind children who all went on to become beautiful adults with their own families. I will be forever grateful to have been a part of Walter's extended family and for his love. He and Peggy were an inspiration and my heart will be with her and the rest of the Beck family.

Mein tiefstes Mitgefühl und Beileid zum Tod von Walter. Ich traf Walter 1979 zum ersten Mal als er Jürgen und mich in Toronto vom Flughafen abgeholt hat. Er war jung und schön und sehr angenehm. Erst bei Emmas 90.Geburtstag sahen wir uns wieder.

Walter was my big brother. He was the biggest and strongest of all of us. He was the best athlete and he was better looking than all of us. The boys anyways. I of course looked up to him. If I had a complaint of him it was that I couldn't have more of him. He got married and made a beautiful family which continues to grow and spread the Beck clan in the USA as most of our relatives are in Germany where our parents came from. We didn't agree on all things but our family love never waivered. I'm going to miss my big brother. I thought we had many more years and I wanted more time with you Walter. I love you. We shared so many great times with Pastor Walt and is family. Camped witn many youth together. Watched them all grow in Christ. Such a great and caring leader and friend. Was a great fill in father for my son Stanley Jr. He will be sadly missed but we were all blessed with his kindness, love and unselfish giving. Heaven is now rejoicing knowing he is home. Walter was an amazing husband, father, and Opa to his wonderful wife, children, and grandchildren. I never met a family before who is so selfless. This is because they have learned from the top. Opa was a truly great grandpa. I am Sam Beck. His grandson. I was only 10 when he died. I had a very good relationship with him. I weeped the least but I was hurt the most out of all of his grandchildren. Hope you have a good eternal life in heaven, Opa.

If a man is lucky, he has a friend who he has gone fishing with, or to sporting events with, or has spent time with each other’s kids. But a man is truly blessed who has a friend that he has gotten up in the morning before work with for years, and prayed with. Walt has been that kind of friend in my life. And because of that most valuable shared time and intimacy before God, my life has been enriched - not just my life here on Earth, but my Eternal Life. My heart breaks for his best friend, Peggy, and the entire Beck clan who will miss his presence every remaining day on Earth. But I am thrilled for my friend who is with his Savior - and I know that every member of his extended family has that same peace and grace, , knowing that “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21
