Laverne G. Strablow Obituary

Laverne G. “Vern” Strablow passed away April 17, 2026 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born October 11, 1950 in Lockport he was the son of the late Gordon and Virginia (Hillman) Strablow.  Vern worked for Harrison Radiator Div of GM where he was a journeyman.  He was a member of the UAW, coached baseball, served as a boy scout leader, and was the AAL Lamplighter President.


Vern is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Tenbrook) Strablow; Children Steven (Somer) Strablow and Heather (George) Sheehan; grandchildren Logan, Keara, George, Dylan, and Mackenzie; sisters Lucille (Vincent) Zarbo, Margaret (Jakub) Sapiezynski, Linda (Paul) Wzientek; also several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents Vern was also predeceased by his sister Martha Level.


Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Monday, April 27th from 10 AM – 11 AM with services immediately following at 11 AM all at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6965 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Lockport.  Inurnment will be in Trinity Lutheran Church.  Donations to the church or Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
