Patricia Sparks Obituary

Patricia “Pat” Sparks passed away on Monday April 6, 2026 under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born in Batavia on January 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Corene Long. Pat is predeceased by her husband Robert Sparks, who passed away August 9, 2008.


She is survived by her children Robert Sparks Jr., Daniel (Marla) Sparks, Christopher (Jennifer) Sparks and Lisa (Scott) Gellerson.  Grandmother of Ashley, Sarah, Kelsey (Frank), Jacob, Becky (Nick), Patrick, Alex, Regan and Mackenzie; Great Grandmother of Anthony, Elijah, Cole, Quinn, Evelyn, Kamryn, and John.


Pat had brothers Herbert and Gerald Long, and sister Jean Hill.  Her extended family included in-laws Marcia (Zennon) Zakrzewski, Linda (Jack) Brundage, James (Lorraine) Sparks, and Carol (Brian) Griesser. Pat is also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Loving wife and mother Pat enjoyed raising her children, camping, time at the cabin, and attending their sporting events. Later in life she enjoyed visiting family, traveling, and most recently volunteering at the Palace Theater and Sister Helen’s Pantry at St. John’s.  But most of all she cherished time with friends and family including Joyce and Jane and the “Oakfield Girls”.


Donations can be made in Pat’s memory to Sister Helen’s Pantry at St. John’s the Baptist Church, 168 Chestnut Street, Lockport, NY 14094 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.


 


There will be no visitation or calling hours. A private burial will be in Huskey Cemetery.
