William J. Hunter Sr passed away March 12, 2026 in Hospice Buffalo.  Born August 28, 1953 in Lockport he was the son of the late William J. Hunter and Erma M. (Hankins) Hunter.  William worked as a laborer for ATI in Lockport.

William is survived by his children William J. Hunter Jr and Sharon (David) Nixon; grandchildren Avery, Savannah, Olivia, Jadda, David III, Tamia, and Emmanuel; also, three great grandchildren; siblings Yolanda (late George) Wilson, Michael (Paula Leca) Hunter, and Cynthia (Bryan) Morgan; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his brother David A. Hunter.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, March 19th from 11 AM - 1 PM with services following at 1 PM all in Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Inurnment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
