Elaine Dobbs passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Niagara Hospice House, surrounded by loved ones.  Born in Newfane on May 25, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Ruth Jackson Johnson.  Elaine was a waitress at Kmart in Lockport for many years and worked as a nurse’s aide.  She enjoyed doing puzzles, word searches, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren. She will be remembered for many things, but her ability to love with no strings, just to love with her full heart, will be what we remember best, the world has lost an angel.

She is predeceased by her husbands, Floyd Bonnett, who passed away on January 20, 2005 and Charles Dobbs, who passed away on January 15, 2026.

Elaine was the mother of Dawnelle (Mark) Starr, LeAnn (Jim) Wuendsch and Denise (Patrick) Seiler; grandmother of Jamie (Nick) Jones, Joshua (Julie) Lamb, Alexis (Shawn) Kudiba, Jacob Lamb and the late Megan Starr; and great grandmother of Blake Jones, Rebecca Kudiba and Sullivan Kudiba.  She was the sister of James (Kim) Johnson, Dwight (Karen) Johnson, Harvey (Glenda) Johnson and the late Julie (James) Moore, Alice (Vern) Hall, Marsha (Al) Brown, Shirley (Hank) Schmucker, Sharon (George) Brigham and Will (Sue) Johnson.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews and was a “Nana” to all.

She was also a loving mother and grandmother to her bonus family, Chuck (Tina) Dobbs, Kelley Dobbs, Chris Dobbs Sr, Jason (Lynn) Dobbs, and Jeremy (Rachel) Dobbs; grandchildren Chelsea (Jack) Jenkins, Ian Dobbs, Charles (Shawna) Dobbs, Laura Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, and Christopher Dobbs Jr.

Friends may call on Tuesday March 10th 4-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY 14094.  Inurnment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
