Daniel A. Leffler Obituary

Daniel A. Leffler passed away March 4, 2026 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital.  Born October 17, 1946 in Buffalo he was the son of the late Edward and Adele (Ciesielski) Leffler.  Daniel served in the US Army from 1967 to 1973 being awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Sharpshooter’s Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.  He worked for Delphi Thermal in Lockport in production.  Daniel was an Elite Lifetime Member of the Tonawanda Sportsman Club, was a member of the Greenwood Golf Course, was a Knights of Columbus, and also a member of the VFW.  He enjoyed golfing, trap shooting, fishing, hunting, boating, and swimming.


Daniel is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Ellen (Winter) Leffler; siblings David (June) Leffler, Donald (Sandra) Leffler, and Marilyn (Maurice) Gustin; in-laws Edward (late Tina) Winter, Laura (Howard) Dean, and Carolyn (Richard) Wagner; furry companion Tabitha; many loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, and godfather to many.


Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Wednesday, March 11th, 2026 from 4PM-7PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at 10AM at Good Shepard Church, 5442 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Burial will be in Good Shepard Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
