Mark H. Allen, 56,  passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2026 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, NY with his family by his side.  Born May 28, 1969 in Oneonta, NY he was a son of the late Floyd and Patricia (Supple) Allen. 

Mark enjoyed spending part of his summer as a child with his grandparents in Somers, NY on their angus cow farm. In high school, along with many lifelong friends, Mark was an avid and dedicated football player for the Oneonta Yellowjackets. After graduating in 1987, his education took him to Marist College to study accounting. It was there where he was able to establish numerous close friends, many of which he still stayed in touch with on a regular basis. Mark graduated from Marist in 1991 with a degree in accounting. After completing his CPA Certification, Mark relocated to Lockport, NY where he met his long-time partner Melissa Patterson. In 2005 Mark and Melissa welcomed the birth of Amanda (Mandy). Mandy was Mark’s pride and joy. He was always proud of her accomplishments and loved to share her successes. Along with Melissa and Mandy, Mark was able to run his own accounting firm for over 25 years. Mark was also a true Michigan Wolverines football fan as well as a true believer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mark is survived by his brothers George (Elizabeth Murwin) Allen and Scott Allen both of Oneonta, NY; daughter Amanda Allen; and partner Melissa Patterson both of Lockport, NY. He is also survived by his uncles George Supple of Victor, NY, and John Supple (Diane) Lincolndale, NY and his aunts Marie Jean Hawes Newtown, Ct. and Mary Miller of Windsor, NY. Mark is also survived by many close cousins as well as Melissa’s family relatives in western NY.

The family will welcome friends and family in two locations in the coming months. The first will be on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 from 1-4 p.m. at Prudden & Kraft Funeral Home at 242 Genesee Street, Lockport NY 14094. The interment will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11 am at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Emmons NY. All are welcome to celebrate Mark’s life at the Northway Brewing Hop House at 709 County Hwy 33, Cooperstown NY, 13326 immediately following the burial.
