Margaret J. Miller, age 79, of the Town of Lockport, passed away at her home on January 24, 2026.  Born on March 26, 1946, in Niagara Falls, New York, Margaret was the daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret (Williams) Williams. She was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing.  Margaret devoted her life to caring for others, serving as a Registered Nurse and Nursing Instructor at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston. 

Margaret loved her family and friends wholeheartedly and expressed that love through quiet generosity and genuine attentiveness.  She delighted in decorating and shopping, and she remained closely engaged with the world around her.  A devoted reader of newspapers and magazines, Margaret was endlessly curious and thoughtfully informed.  Some of her happiest moments were spent cruising and exploring new places with her family, working with ceramics, and enjoying the comfort of home alongside Jim and her beloved cocker spaniel, Lucy, who was almost always by her side.  Through the years she cheered on the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.  Margaret was affiliated with Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls and was a proud member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, XI Alpha Chapter.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, James L. Miller; her children, Amy (Curt) Miller-Walby, Ann (Timothy) Goehle, Jason (Greg) Miller, Jennifer (Jonathan) Cammarata, and Meghan (Michael) Rozycki; and her treasured grandchildren, Robert (Mariah) Walby, Emily & Madaline Walby, Jacob & Jack Goehle, Alexander & Nathanial Cammarata, Victoria, Ryan, Brooklyn & Gwendalyn Rozycki; her dear cousin Margaret Slater; as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Kristin Miller, and brothers, Samuel (Barbara/late Judy) Williams and Robert Williams.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 29th from 4-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport.
