Michael E. Swatsworth passed away unexpectedly on January 18, 2026. Born in Buffalo, NY, on May 2, 1962, he was the son of the late Philip Swatsworth, Sr. and Sandra (Price) Booker.
A familiar face in the Lockport community, Mike was a dedicated cook at LaPort’s Restaurant and also working at Walmart where he was known as “Meat Man Mike”. Outside of the kitchen, he was a true Buffalo sports fanatic, rarely missing a game while cheering on his beloved Bills and Sabres. Whether he was golfing, meticulously building model cars, or adding to his sports memorabilia collection, Mike found joy in the details of his hobbies. However, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his daughters and his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Jolene Cook, Angela (Michael Lawrence) Wright, Kristen (Samantha) Felix, and Haley Woleben; and his eight cherished grandchildren: Jordan, Gianna, Mara, Michael, Kehlani, Anthony, Angelina, and Autumn. He is also survived by his siblings, Kevin Swatsworth, Brenda (Troy) White, Donna Swatsworth and Melissa (Mike McLaughlin) Swatsworth; and also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Philip Swatsworth, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, January 27th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Words of remembrance and a closing prayer will begin at 6:45 PM.
