Darcy A. Murphy passed on Christmas Eve at 11.59pm at Niagara Hospice at the age of 74. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends and she is deeply missed.
She was born on Nov 8th, 1951 in Lockport Memorial to Frank and Carol Pencille. Darcy graduated Lockport Senior High in 1969 armed with her degree and the support of her boyfriend and husband to be, Brad Murphy. 1972 proved a pivotal year as she graduated nursing school from Buffalo General Hospital and married Brad on July 29th at First English Lutheran Church. Both relationships endured, complimented by her consistent love and devotion up to her recent passing.
Brad and Darcy shared 53 years married, the highlight of which was the birth of their two children Chris in 1977 and Tonya two years later. She devoted herself to her family and work and is known for her selfless, generous attitude to so many lucky enough to cross her path.
Darcy is survived by her beloved husband, Brad, her two children and two grandkids Zoe and Davie. She is also survived by her caring brother Jeff Pencille, her two dear friends Judy Cummings and Candy Hughes and all the other family and friends who are devastated by her loss. In addition to her parents Darcy was preceded in death by her brother Paul Pencille.
Darcy volunteered her time to Niagara Hospice post retirement and has requested people donate here instead of sending flowers in honor of her memory. Link below,
