Sylvia F. Hutchison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, under the loving care of her family and Niagara Hospice. She was born on November 19,1933 in Medina, NY.  She was daughter of the late John and Leah Feltz.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 70 years, James R. Hutchison. Her life was defined by an unwavering and deep love for her family and a profound compassion for animals, especially her cherished dog, Lucky.

Sylvia dedicated 20 years of service before retiring in 1988 from Harrison Radiator. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and summers in the 1000 Islands, with frequent visits by her family and friends. The door was always open at the Hutchison residence.

She was also predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Patt and Leah Watt, and her great-grandchild, Charlie Robert Caturia.

Sylvia is survived by a loving legacy that includes her children Daniel (Michele), James (Sandra), Mark (Joan), Pamela Kelkenberg, Michael (Susan), and Thomas. Sylvia was the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her Sister-in-law Helen (Sue) Schuman of Florida.

A Celebration of Sylvia’s Life will take place in the Summer of 2026. Details regarding the time and location will be announced by the family. Interment will be at the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094 would be appreciated by the family.
