Jane Elizabeth Hall passed away October 25, 2025, while enjoying the very last days of the season at Sherkston Beach.
Born June 27, 1947 in Lockport, and wife of the late, John W. Hall, Jane is survived by her children Julie Hall, of Milwaukee, WI, and Joel (Sarah Garde) Hall of Hilton, NY. Additionally, Jane leaves behind her grandchildren Jacie and Jordyn; sister Theresa (Ken) Troyer; sisters-in-law Linda Hayes and Joanne Hayes; as well as many, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, plus great-great nieces and great-great nephews! Her many friends from New York, Florida, and Canada are also counted within this family circle.
She was predeceased by parents, James and Evelyn (Sauers) Hayes, and brothers James (late Gianni) Hayes, Peter Hayes, Patrick (late Barbara) Hayes, Michael Hayes and nephew, Patrick Hayes.
Jane was a most beloved member of a special Sherkston Beach community for over 50 years. She drew on loving fellowship from her decades-long membership in the New Century Club. She has called Tarpon Springs, FL, her winter home for the past several years. Her commitment to family and love for the outdoors and travel provided so many opportunities to have family camping adventures, sand and surf excursions, and international journeys. Trips to family reunions, special parties, weddings, graduations, and other gatherings all across the country – were each the source of much joy and pride. Whether playing tennis, bike riding, touring, or simply sipping coffee on the deck, Jane knew how to be present to family and friends - they knew how much she loved them, because she told them all regularly!
However, nothing compared to her love for and commitment to following the growth of her granddaughters. Though many adventures took her away from Western New York, she always found her back to the latest opportunity to support ‘the girls’!
Donations in Jane's memory can be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org).
