Karen Anne Cummings passed away September 23, 2025 in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Lewiston on June 5, 1948 she was the daughter of the late Chester Gubala and Jennie D’Amore. Karen was a licensed practical nurse for 35 years, working for various nursing facilities in the Western New York area. She was a member of the VFW, Redmen Club, and Navy Marine Club. Karen enjoyed reading and was a NY Yankees fan.
Karen is survived by her children Lisa (Gary) Swanson-Gellerson and Gene (Kim) Cummings; grandchildren Ella and McKenna Swanson, Hailey and Logan Cummings; sisters Patricia (Butch) Yacus, Mary Jane (Bill) Ziehm, and Donna Smith; also six nieces and nephews.
No services will be held. Karen was an animal lover; donations would be welcomed in her memory at fuzzyfawnwildliferescue.com.
