MICHAEL L. (GOLDIE) BIENAS
Mike passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on September 21, 2025 at Niagara Hospice House. Born in Buffalo he was the son of Casimer “Whitey” and Betty Jane (Dobson) Bienas. He retired from the Union Sun & Journal after 32 years in Circulation and Delivery and recently worked for Timkey Car Service.
Mike is survived by his wife Debra (Kriegbaum) Bienas, sons Erik (Maria Cimino) and Adam (Elizabeth) Bienas and former daughter-in-law Sharon Bienas; grandchildren Joseph Bienas and Sarah Bienas; sisters Barbara (Norbert) Orlowski and Marilynn (late William) Davies; also many nieces and nephews.
Mike loved sailing. He was a member of Wilson Yacht Club and a member and Past Commodore of Island Yacht Club. He also was a life long fan of the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday, Oct.11th at 11am at Lockport Life Church, 200 Beattie Ave., Lockport. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mike’s memory to Niagara Hospice House or the Niagara SPCA.
