Daniel F. Galus Obituary

Daniel F. Galus, of Lockport, NY, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 after a long illness.  Born in Buffalo on October 4, 1950, he was a son of Edward and Helen (Duszynski) Galus. He was an auto mechanic for Jim Murphy Pontiac and lifelong car enthusiast.


Daniel is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Artieri) Galus, and his beloved dog, Cooper; daughter, Renee (Adam Solander) Latour and son-in-law, Joe Martone; his grandchildren, Adrianna, Giulianna, and Joseph Martone, and Alexander and Andrew Solander; brothers-in-law, Paul Will and Harry Artieri; and sister-in-law Suzanne (Clair) Herman, as well as several nieces and nephews. 


Daniel was predeceased by his daughter, Meredith Latour-Martone and his faithful canine companion, Marley, as well as his siblings, Richard Galus, Thomas Galus, and Patricia (Paul) Will.



Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Thursday, Sept. 25th 4-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 26th at 11 AM at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport.  Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the All Saints faith formation religious education program.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
