Duane L. VanBuren passed away September 14, 2025 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Royalton on January 2, 1935 he was a son of Edward and Hazel (Simms) VanBuren. Duane served in the US Army from 1955 to 1957 and worked for the highway department for Niagara County for 36 years, retiring as a foreman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling in his motorhome, and especially loved spending time with his family.
Duane is survived by his daughters Terri (Dan) Falls, Paula (Brian) Brengel, and Michaelle (Mark) Hawkins; daughter-in-law Laureen VanBuren; fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; brother James VanBuren and John VanBuren; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jacquelin (Kane) VanBuren, son Mark VanBuren; and siblings Morris, Lorraine, Doris, Grace, Alice, LaVerne, Frank, and Jane VanBuren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
