Marian E. DiCarlo passed away August 7, 2025 peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family. Born March 22, 1935 in Olean, she was the daughter of Frederick and Marie (Staub) Swartz. Described as spunky and resilient, Marian’s beauty, tenderness and vibrant ways touched both family and friends. She loved people, traveling, baking cookies, knitting, decorating, and fashion.
Marian’s professional career ranged from a beautician to a hospice volunteer. However, her love and devotion to her husband, Tom, and the family they created was her greatest source of love, fun, and pride. She will be loved and remembered forever and surely is in a wonderful place with her other deceased family members.
Marian was predeceased by her daughter Kathy Pope. Marian is survived by her husband of 69 years Thomas “Tom” C. DiCarlo; her children Teri DiCarlo Thielges, Thomas (Loretta) DiCarlo, Dianne (Lou) Farina, Maryellen DiCarlo, and Paul (Kimberly) DiCarlo; also thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren all whom she adored.
The family thanks Niagara Hospice for their support. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or at wwww.niagarahospice.org
