Jacqueline Ann Kenney passed away on August 2, 2025. She was born June 15, 1947, to Ann (Sullivan) Forgie and John Forgie. Jackie graduated from DeSales High School in 1965 and dedicated her life to public service, working for Lockport Parks Department, Lockport Housing Authority, and the Mental Health Association of Niagara County. As part of her work, she hosted the LCTV cable access show, The Many Faces of Mental Health. A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated member of All Saints Parish, active in its Parish Life Committee and organized many of their events. She loved to sing and sang in the choir at the parish for many years. Jackie was well known for her great love of reading and her devotion to her beloved Newfoundland Maeve. She was a fierce advocate for equality and led a union. Jackie was a member of Lockport AM Toastmasters for two decades, earning the achievement of Distinguished Toastmaster, and mentored many members of the club. She lived a life of adventure, spent time living in Italy, and enjoyed traveling with her husband and children. She will be greatly missed.
Jacqueline was predeceased by her husband of forty-four years, Kevin Kenney. She is survived by her three children, Jennifer (Jonathan) Sulkow, M. Jason (Christa) Kenney, and Caitlin Kenney, and grandson Sean Sulkow.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Wednesday, August 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 7th at 11 AM at All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Memorial donations to the Niagara County Mental Health Association or the Lockport Public Library would be appreiated by the family.
