In 1967, she was hired as one of the first tour guides for the new Lockport Union Sun & Journal complex. In her retirement years, she worked part time at Bender’s Christian Supply Store in Williamsville.
Nancy served in many capacities at the Lockport Assembly of God church for decades. Whether leading the Sunday School, Women’s and Girl’s Ministries, or in the Nursery, ministries saw some of their finest days under her leadership. She also served multiple terms as the President of the PTA at both DeWitt Clinton and Roy B. Kelly Elementary Schools. She was a natural leader, organized and thorough. She was a member of Creekside Assembly of God in Buffalo at the time of her passing. She made a beautiful life with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman and leaves a legacy of love and dedication for all who knew her.
Nancy is survived by her children: Rev. Thomas (Rhonda) Mattiuzzo of Flint, MI, Judy (David) DeLuca and David (Laurie) Mattiuzzo of Lockport, Jeffrey (Linda) Mattiuzzo of Brooksville, FL, Molly (Rev.
