In Loving Memory of Helenclair (Helen) Barish

With heavy hearts, I share the passing of Helenclair "Helen" Barish, who left us on June 27, 2025, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and the compassionate care of Niagara Hospice, and she will forever be remembered for her strength, grace, and unwavering spirit.

Helen was born on June 12, 1955, in Lockport, New York, to the late Wilbert and Mary Teresa Rosemellia Beauman. She dedicated her life to serving others, working as both a Hospital Surgical Tech and an Oral Surgery Tech, where she touched countless lives with her care and expertise.

Outside of her career, Helen found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was traveling, camping, loving on her dogs, or staying busy cleaning and organizing her home. Her heart was always full, and she poured love into everyone around her, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and warmth.

Helen is survived by her loving husband, Bryan Barish, her daughter Mary Teresa (Michael) Desing, stepsons William Barish and Craig (Kristine Kay) Barish, and her cherished grandchildren: Grace Desing, Craig Barish Jr., Nico Barish, and Julian Barish. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and her sisters-in-law Linda Beauman, Suzanne Lavender, and Debi-Casey Barish. She was predeceased by her beloved brother John Beauman Sr..

Helen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, laughter, and light will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

A memorial service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. A memorial service will follow immediately at 12:00 PM, with inurnment to take place at Glenwood Cemetery.
