
Obituary of James Moody
James Andrew "Jimmy" Moody, 46, of Buffalo, New York, passed away on June 25, 2025, just one day after celebrating his birthday. Born on June 24, 1979, in North Tonawanda, New York, Jimmy lived a life rooted in faith, family, and craftsmanship.
A devoted husband and father, Jimmy is lovingly remembered by his wife Romandeep Bajwa and their children Justice, Kareena, and James Moody Jr. His unwavering love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He found his greatest joy in spending time with them-whether gathered around a board game or enjoying the outdoors together.
Jimmy was the beloved son of Jonie and Scott Moody and brother to Joshua Moody. He also leaves behind his cherished grandfather Anthony DiBesco; mother-in-law Balbir Bajwa; father-in-law Gurmit Singh; and sisters- and brothers-in-law Sukhdeep, Jorawar, and Pravdeep Bajwa. He will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his sister Lynnann Moody, uncle John Moody, and grandmother Barbara DiBesco.
A man of deep Christian faith, Jimmy lived each day guided by his beliefs. He was known for his strong moral compass and dedication to living a life of purpose. His spirituality was evident in the way he treated others-with kindness, humility, and compassion.
Jimmy was a skilled carpenter who took great pride in his craft. His passion for woodworking extended into knife forging-an art form he pursued with patience and precision. An avid outdoorsman at heart, he loved hunting, fishing, and camping. These pursuits were not just hobbies but ways he connected with nature and shared meaningful moments with those closest to him.
Music played a special role in Jimmy's life. He especially enjoyed country music-often filling the home with melodies that brought comfort and joy to family gatherings.
Above all else, Jimmy will be remembered as a loyal family man whose heart belonged entirely to those he loved most. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his children and the countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn him today. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 2, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM at Beaver Island State Park Pavilion 002B
