Philip R. Clay Obituary

Philip R. Clay passed away June 19, 2025 in Erie County Medical Center.  Born June 4, 1941 in Sulton, WA he was the son of Leo and Genevieve (Pelroy) Clay.  Philip served actively in the US Army from 1961 to 1962 and reserve time until 1966.  He worked for Harrison Radiator Div of GM where he was a welder.  Philip enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially spending time with his family.  He was a member of the Masons and Shriners.


Philip is survived by his wife Mary Lou (Trombley) Clay; children Janice (Billy) Weaver, Jeffrey (Julie) Clay, Jamie (Kimberly) Wilson and the late Joseph S. Wilson; grandchildren Alex, Lucas, Shelby, Allen, Timothy, Krista, Jessica, Joleen, Joseph Jr., Jacob, Jillian, Jay, Nicholas, and Crystal; also fifteen great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, June 25th from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport.  Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 26th at 11 AM at Hartland Central Cemetery, 8541 Ridge Rd., Gasport.
