Obituary of Robert M. Russell

Robert “Bob” Russell passed away June 15, 2025 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital.  Born April 23, 1951 in Lockport he was the son of Eugene “Rip” and Mary (Long) Russell.  Bob earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business from UB. He worked for The Upson Co and then for Niagara Fiberboard Inc both in Lockport where he retired as a supervisor.  He was an active member of St. John the Baptist RC Church where he was a lector.  Bob was active with Lockport Little League coaching his son’s baseball teams.  He was also active with the Kenan Center where he coached his son’s soccer teams.  Bob enjoyed golfing, reading, music, and watching baseball and football.  He was a lifelong NY Yankees and Bills fan.

Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years Patricia (Schomers) Russell; sons David and Brian Russell; siblings Richard (Margaret) Russell and Kathleen (Charles) Burt; sister-in-law Cynthia Russell; also several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was also predeceased by his brother William Russell.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated Friday, June 20th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.  Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
