Linda Mae Ess passed away on June 2, 2025. She was born on February 18, 1948, in Buffalo, N.Y., daughter of Myron and Marie (Diegelman) Eiss. Her joyous moments were spending time with her family, spring flowers, and playing cards and Wordle.

Linda is survived by her husband Henry John James Ess III; sisters Hazel (O’Brocta) and Myra (Bardol); children Steven (Rene) Ess, Henry J.J. IV (Kathryn) Ess, Christopher (Charlotte) Ess, Patrick Ess, and Kelly Ess. She had 13 grandchildren: Ian, Megan, Henry J.J. V, Samantha, Nathan, Jennifer, Tristen, Cody, Jeffrey, Sara, Miles, Shane, Sofia and 1 great grandchild, Luca.   

Relatives and friends are invited to the Service of Entombment held on Thursday June 5th at 11:45 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum (6843 Tonawanda Creek Rd, Lockport, N.Y. 14094). In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Linda Ess.
