

Obituary of Shirley Prue
Shirley T. Prue passed away May 26, 2025 at Heritage Manor, her home for the last three years. Born March 4, 1926 in Buffalo, daughter of Edgar and Helen (Corbett) Tudor, Sr. Shirley lived a life devoted to her church, her husband of 61 years, Norman J. Prue and their children.
Shirley is survived by her children Lucinda A. (John) Racsumberger and Jeffrey J. (Carrie) Prue; daughter-in-law Ann Marie Prue; grandchildren Alicia, Stephanie, James, Elaine, Aaron, Alexander and Katelyn; great grandchildren Lilly, Nicholas, Emily, Jocelyn, Alfred, Amelia, Asher and Jonas; also several nieces and nephews
Shirley is predeceased by her parents, husband Norman J. Prue, son Michael J. Prue, and both siblings and their spouses, Edgar (Shirley)Tudor, Jr. and Lorraine(Harold) Class.
Shirley was an active member at St. John the Baptist RC Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. She volunteered for 22 years with husband Norman delivering food for Meals-on- Wheels and as a tutor and mentor with literacy volunteers of Western NY.
Shirley enjoyed camping with her husband and their camping club as well as bowling in the women’s league at Alley Brandts.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Sunday, June 1st from 1-4 pm at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June, 2nd at 10 am at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations to Heritage Manor, 41 Lexington Ct., Lockport, or Sister Helen’s Food Pantry. Visit pruddenkandt.com.
