
Obituary of Richard A. Plump
Richard A. “Dick” Plump passed away suddenly May 22, 2025. Born December 16, 1943 in Lewiston he was the son of Arnold and Ethel (Halstead) Plump. Dick earned his Bachelors degree in accounting at Rochester Institute of Technology. He started his career as a supervisor at Upson Corp. while working at the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Lockport where he became certified as a Water Safety Specialists. Dick was highly dedicated to his family. He was a man of faith, and leaves a legacy of love.
Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years Deborah K. (Clarke) Plump; children Jeffrey C. Plump, Lori (Kevin) Matthews, Ann Marie (Robert) Kinne, and Belinda (Wayne) Lemcke; grandchildren Sarah Kinne and Cameron Brown; siblings Mildred (late William) Jackson and William Plump; sister-in-law June Plump; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings John Henry Plump and Marguerite Dickson.
RElatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, June 13th at 3 PM at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., Lockport.
