Obituary of Ruth A. Pratt
Ruth A. Pratt passed away April 26, 2025 at Elderwood of Lockport. Born May 19, 1934 in Benjamin, Texas. She was the daughter of Lawrence and Muriel (Castleman) Johnson. Ruth worked for Niagara County Department of Social Services where she was a clerk in the Food Stamps Department processing applications. She enjoyed listening to gospel and county music, playing BINGO at Elderwood, as well as playing Solitaire, working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles on her computer tablet. She especially loved visits from family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her son Timothy (Betsy) Pratt; grandchildren Antoinette “Toni”, Timothy John (TJ), Andrea, Ben and Sarah; six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Leon Pratt, daughter Terry Lee Palmer, and siblings Lawrence Jr. (Do Doc), Ailene, Lois, and Tommie.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
