Obituary of Bernard H Frombgen

Bernard "Ben" Heary Frombgen, 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22 , 2025 at Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan. Born in Lockport, New York on August 8, 1930 to parents, Adam Sylvester Frombgen and Margaret Heary Frombgen. Bernard is predeceased by his siblings Rita (Mack/Lewis), Michael “Beaver”, and Sharon “Girly” (O’Hara); and by his ex-wife Martha Daigler, the mother of his 5 children.

Bernard is survived by his children; Ann (Gregory) Schuler, Bernard Frombgen, Christine (Samuel) Carrera, Diane (Craig) Grant, Jeneen (Richard) Rippey. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Bernard served in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957.  Before joining the Navy, he and 2 business partners founded Diversified Manufacturing, Inc. which is still in operation today.  Bernard was also an active member of the Lockport Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Lockport Manufacturing Council. 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10 am at St. John's Catholic Church in Lockport, New York, followed immediately by an interment at St Patrick's cemetery and celebration of life luncheon.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bernard's memory to Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan or Friends of Thirty Mile Point Lighthouse in Somerset, New York.
