Obituary of Patrick Beilewech
It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Patrick M. Beilewech, born February 21,1958 in Buffalo, NY. Patrick passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice in the early hours of March 21st, 2025. A 1977 graduate of Amherst High School, Patrick studied music and procured his love of art at Buffalo State College. While spending many years living on the Elmwood strip, his extraordinary storytelling abilities, his unique wit and his charismatic smile were quick to gain him many lifelong friends whose loyalty is a testament to his abounding goodwill. California dreaming brought him to the west coast for several years, but his love of family and friends brought him back home. Regardless, wherever he was, as a true Buffalonian at heart and a sports enthusiast, he cheered on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres throughout their highs and lows in hopes they would one day bring home a victory…
As an athlete, he prided himself on his early accomplishments in reaching Junior A status as a goalie, and on celebrating his hole in one at Cherry Hill CC; the game of golf continued to be something he excelled at and enjoyed playing throughout his life. As a music lover, his passion and appreciation for music of his era would stay with him and would fuel his desire to attend performances by his favorite bands throughout the years. Cheers to you, Patrick: a gentleman with impeccable style; an easy friend with an infectious smile; truly, a beautiful soul…God bless you; you will be missed.
Predeceased by his parents, Michael Jr and Gloria (Mallen) Beilewech, and brothers Michael III and Peter, Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Susan Pantera, his brother Mark, his extended family & his extensive community of friends.
A mass celebrating his life will be held at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church at 1317 Eggert Road in Amherst, on Friday, March 28th at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Niagara Hospice in Patrick’s honor.
