
Obituary of John S. Lobczowski Sr
John Stanley Lobczowski Sr. passed away on Thursday March 20, 2025 at Niagara Hospice, Lockport. Born in Hartland on May 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Ciszek Lobczowski. John served in the US Airforce from 1950 until 1954. After getting out of service, he worked for Harrison Radiator from 1963 until his retirement in 1990. He was a member of the Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Company where he held various position throughout his career, Sunrise Optimist Club, Newfane Seniors and the Trail and Squares. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, volunteering and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his wife Nancy Carmichael Lobczowski and his son John S. Lobczowski Jr.
He is survived by his children Cindy Kibbe, Karen (Douglas) Smith, Michael (Rochelle) Lobczowski and Lori (Wayne) Cockfield. Grandfather of Tim (Elizabeth) Lobczowski, Peter (Jessica) Allowski, Daniel (Nikki) Lobczowski, Alan Joseph Kibbe, Stephanie (Ryan) Hoffman, Brandon (Sara) Smith, Zachary Kibbe, Kyle (Janelle) Smith, Lisa (Kevin) Perchan, Kellie (Andrew) Bolles, Brooke (Jonathan) Edewaard and Matthew Cockfield; great grandfather of Evie, Wesley, Mia, Emma, Harrison, Amelia, Brielle, Landon, Jackson, Declan and Dylan. He was the brother of the late Joseph Lobczowski, Alfred Lobczowski and Sophie Wrobel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on March 24th 3-7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday March 25th at 10 AM at St. Brendan the Lake RC Parish, 3455 Ewings Road, Newfane. Inurnment will be in Hartland Central Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials to Wrights Corners Volunteer Fire Co. or to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
