Obituary of David W. Shufelt Sr.
David W. Shufelt, Sr., age 80, of the City of Lockport passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Ralph and Crescent (Robinson) Shufelt, and husband of the late Zoe Elizabeth (Alexander) Shufelt and Judith Kay (Frost) Shufelt. David had been a 35 year employee of Harrison Radiator/GM in Lockport. He was a giant family man who was well known and loved throughout the community. David was an avid bowler and loved shopping.
He is survived by six children, David (Paula) Shufelt, Kurt Shufelt, Alicia (Melvin, Jr.) Teeter, Matthew (Zhuo) Shufelt, Elizabeth (Josh Pollock) Shufelt, Andrew (Katelyn) Shufelt, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by five siblings, Ralph “Buck”, Grace, John “Jack”, Ruth, and Gary.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. in Lockport. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 10:30 AM in Cold Springs Cemetery in the Town of Lockport.
