Vera Gibson-Carroll passed away March 2, 2025 in Buffalo General Medical Center.  Born March 3, 1957 in Washington, D.C. she was a daughter of Edna Gibson and step-father Elnathen Davis .  Vera worked for Odd Fellows & Rebekah Health Care Facility where she was a licensed practical nurse.  Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Hubert Carroll Sr., and her son Andre Carroll, and grandsons Evan Giovanni Carroll, and Christopher Brinson .

Vera is survived by her children Sterling O. Carroll, Donna Ann Nix, Clarice Goldsmith; siblings Tyrone Moore, Julia (Nigel) Loney, and Jane Pepper; step-siblings Michael (Tersa) Davis, Cassandra (Donald) Leverette, and Dominique Davis; very dear grandchildren Antanea and Marquele Goldsmith, other grandchildren Najee Hillman, Amari Hillman, Victor Henry, Jr., Umar Henry, Al-Jabbar Henry, Malik Henry, Maria Bielak, Lelieana Maruja Carroll, Kayden Joseph Hill, Malakhi Andre Carroll, and Josh Michael McPhail.
