

Obituary of William F. Parker
William "Bill" Parker passed away February 25,2025. Born November 3, 1933, in Buffalo, he was the son of William H. and Alberta M. (Faery) Parker. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen (Stauder) Parker on September 18, 2019.
Bill proudly served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956 and then worked for the City of Lockport Police Department retiring as a Lieutenant. He was a member of WARP, The Hickory Club, American Legion, Eagles Arie 825, where he served as past president. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Bill was an assistant coach for Lockport Little Loop. Bill loved being the Lockport Tigers equipment manager and a hockey "Grandpa" to all the kids. He loved spending time with his siblings in Florida and playing cards. Bill was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman for many years. He continued to golf with his friends up to the age of 90 years old. He was a Buffalo Bills and Yankee fan and enjoyed yelling at the referees. Bill was a loving Grandpa to his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many John Street neighborhood kids called him "Grandpa" also, and he was happy to have candy or an ice cream ready.
Bill is survived by his children Wendy (Michael) Thayres, Lawrence (Jennifer) Parker, Randall (Susie) Parker, and Timothy (Lynne) Parker. Also survived by his beloved Grandchildren, Lindsay (Arash) Rivazfar, Dustin (Kerry) Ludke, Ryanne (Michael) Wolfe, Jordan (Isabel) Thayres, Megan and Brett Parker, Bryan (Dawn) Parker, Jillian (Joseph) Mangiafesto, Marissa (James) DeVoe, Zachary and Samuel Parker, Danielle (Derek) Fish and, Steven (Hannah) Stevens. He cherished his 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. Bill's brothers and sisters are Howard, John, Thomas, Marion, Patricia, Sandra and Barb. Besides his wife he was also predeceased by his brothers Donald, Tyrone, and sister Jean.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, April 12th from 10am-12 noon at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home. Service held at 12 noon and Interment will follow in Cold Springs Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Niagara Hospice or the Tunnel To Towers Foundation would be appreciated.
