

Obituary of Mildred Linderman
Mildred Elaine Squire Linderman, Watertown, formerly of Lockport, passed away February 23 at the Samaritan Summit Village in Watertown, NY where she had been a resident since 2021. She was born October 12, 1923 in Ashwood, NY, the daughter of Howard M. and Helen V. Wilson Squire.
Mildred graduated from Lyndonville Central School in 1941. Following graduation she moved to Lockport, where she worked at Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors until her marriage. She married Paul A. Linderman on June 21, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church in Lockport. In addition to raising their three daughters, Millie was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Lockport and the last surviving member of the Family Guidance Mothers’ Club, of which she was a member for over 60 years. She was also a long-time volunteer with the American Red Cross and the Lockport Memorial Hospital Guild. She loved her flower gardens, quilting, cross-stitch and golf.
Surviving are two daughters, Diane L. (Donald) Wiedrich of W. Henrietta, NY and Beth A. Linderman (Robert Kimball) of Watertown; grandchildren Margo Wiedrich-Smith (Brian Smith) of Hamburg, NY, Christopher Wiedrich (Kimberly) of Avondale, AZ, Charles Kimball (Stacey Doroha), and Katharine Kimball of Watertown; and great-grandchildren Zachary Smith, Jacob and Alexander Wiedrich, Lillian, Maxwell and Lea Kimball, Gaige and Quinn Doroha; also a brother, Ralph I. Squire of Rochester, NY and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was predeceased by her husband Paul, her brothers Howard Squire and Charles Squire, and by her daughter, Donna S. Linderman.
Calling hours will be on February 28 from 4 to 7pm at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. The funeral will be held March 1 at 11:00am at First Presbyterian Church, 21 Church St, Lockport, with interment in Cold Springs Cemetery immediately following.
