Ken Meahl was born on April 9th, 1931 the son of the late Alvin and Evelyn Meahl. He was a 1948 graduate of Lockport High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.
Ken was a Modified Stock Car racing legend. He began his storied career in 1947, retiring in 1975 with over 185 featured victories. He raced throughout the North and Southeast United States as well as Ontario, Canada. Locally, he was a two time track champion in 1960 and 1966 at Ransomville Speedway.
Ken is survived by his sister, Shirley Rasmussen of Camp Hill, Pennsyvania and niece, Darleen Limburg of Mechanicsburg, Pennsyvania.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
